Hello, I’m Olet Charles, a passionate developer with extensive experience in creating commercial applications. I specialize in tackling complex coding challenges and have successfully developed business applications from requirement gathering to final deployment. This is my MDriven experience.
My Initial Thoughts about MDriven
I was excited to learn MDriven as I consider it a new type of technology. However, since the training program was called “1000 Steps”, I thought I had to go through 1000 steps to learn MDriven. Fortunately, the program was not as long or strenuous as I thought.
The Journey
At the start of the journey, I struggled to understand several features. I could not comprehend why they were implemented the way they were in MDriven. Understanding came only after I created a scenario and tested the features numerous times.
What MDriven taught me to love
Firstly, I loved the Bootcamp experience because trying MDriven’s tools is free. Anyone can access them and experiment however they want. I tested the basic and advanced features in the learning course to my heart’s content on my local machine. In truth, I liked that I did not need an internet connection. It was a thrill to create and execute UML diagrams.
One of the main things that excited me was that I could focus more on and expound my ideas. Surprisingly, I progressed faster especially because I didn’t need to bother with aspects like application code and architecture – since MDriven handles all that.
What I Gained from the experience
I achieved a better perspective on software development. Furthermore, I understood how important it is to focus on the idea rather than the technology, and why it is clearer to have the business idea independent of the technology infrastructure. I don’t regret learning MDriven. It exposed me to patterns and strategies for developing and deploying applications. Visual software development is better than and simpler than traditional software development.
Finally, if you want to develop your idea faster, with a fully-fledged architecture and focusing less on code or other complexities that come with software development, then MDriven is the right choice for you.
